BURN BAN LIFTED FOR LANCASTER COUNTY

Due to the heavy rain which has fallen during the past 10 days, the Lancaster County Board of Commissioners have lifted the County Wide Burn Ban effective 10:30a.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2010.  The ban was placed in effect due to very dry conditions in September.  The original ban was in effect until October 15th, but the current conditions have allowed the ban to be lifted early.

The ban was effective, as there were very few brush and wood fires while it was in effect.
